We are excited and passionate about making the Parent-Teacher Store-Lexington an inviting and resourceful community store. We wish to help parents find engaging toys and fun activities for their children and grandchildren that spark curiosity, conversation and enrich learning. We also wish to support teachers, daycare centers, home-schoolers, churches, and businesses to create classrooms and workspaces that inspire, relax, and bring positivity to their spaces. Of course, we also carry a range of school and business supplies to meet the needs of our adult and student customers.
The Parent-Teacher Store ownership is a husband and wife team. Meg has been an elementary school teacher for 22 years and has taught in five states: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Texas, and Kentucky. Before teaching at the elementary level, Meg taught preschool children for two years and operated a home-based daycare business for five years. She values the uniqueness of each individual and community, embraces the connectivity in the world and loves helping and guiding others to learn.
Chriss is a retired naval officer who has managed businesses primarily in the fire and security industry. His business knowledge, operational experience and let’s figure this out approach will drive the continuous improvement and growth of the business.
